On Saturday, May 19th, 2018, communities worldwide will be participating in the 23rd annual “Kids Day America/International™” from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 pm. The event will take place at Avalon Park Town Park at the Band Shell/Stage.
It is a momentous day dedicated to health, safety, and environmental issues that affect individuals and our community as a whole. In fact, there will be hundreds of communities participating in this historic event internationally in which 5 million children have benefited in 2,000 cities.
Orange County Mayor Theresa Jacobs will be proclaiming it an official day to help children in our town. There will be free health and spinal screenings, drug awareness information, etc. Admission to the event is free to the entire community, and there will be characters, balloons, food trucks, and fun for the whole family.
All proceeds will benefit The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation and The Kiwanis Club of Avalon Park.
